Suspension character of the Trek Powerfly FS 2020
The Trek Powerfly FS 2020 runs Trek’s ABP suspension, a four-bar with the rear pivot concentric to the axle. As our MTB suspension kinematics guide explains, the linkage type only sets what is possible, what actually defines the ride is the bike’s leverage curve, progressivity and anti-squat, not the name of the system. Set your sag at the wheel rather than only at the shock (on progressive frames the two differ), aim for anti-squat near 100% in your common gears for efficient pedalling, and use the rebound curb test to dial damping. Read this bike by its numbers, not its badge.
